We survived our first NASCAR Weekend together, even though neither of us felt very good the entire four days of being in Charlotte. Mom and Aunt Gloria had lots of fun while Jamie and I hung out at the hotel most of the time. I added some of the pictures from the Friday night race to our Flickr account. I would add more, but who knew Flickr's free account had a limit of just 200 pictures! Argh. Oh well. The year-long Flickr subscription is only $25 and as soon as we scrape together a few extra bucks we're going to get one. I canceled my NASCAR member's club membership because it was $50 a year and I really didn't get much out of it (plus, it was outrageously expensive!). This year we didn't even go near the club member's area, much less attend any of the members-only events.
Jamie's Canon camera took wonderful pictures and the new 2 GB memory card came just in time to take with us. I especially like the feature on the Canon that takes 3 pictures, one right after the other. That's perfect for taking pictures of cars going 200+ mph. The cars are still a bit blurry, but not as much as trying to take one picture at a time. I just wish the zoom could get to things further out. One you zoom past a certain point the picture gets all fuzzy.

This is our new dining table! My grandparents bought it for us and my grandma found it at K-mart for just $200! It really doesn't look like a $200, K-mart brand set. And, it was relatively easy to put together. There are four padded-bottom chairs, but only three are around the table. The fourth chair is the one I use when I sit at the computer desk to watch Jamie play games. We ate dinner at the table together tonight and last night. It was great! I can't wait to decorate the table for Christmas. I have gold chargers to go under my ivy rimmed Christmas plates and chair-back covers that look like Santa hats.
This weekend we're dogsitting my co-worker's shitzu. Fun times! I'll take more pictures. Snickers is pretty photogenic as you can see from my Old Yahoo (now a Flickr) photo album. I took pictures of Snick when I kept him at the other townhouse.
Oh, and I'm sending good vibes to my Grandpa who had his spleen removed today. Poor Grandpa. Hope he feels better soon!
