June 4, 2007

Today is our one month anniversary! Not sure what the appropriate gift for a one month anniversary is. Since the traditional gift for a one year anniversary is paper, the gift for one month must be a smooch or a e-card.

We're trying to figure out what to do for dinner. Since it is a sorta special day, I don't think leftovers will do the evening justice.

Our wedding reception is this weekend at my mom's church. All of the church ladies are super-excited and very eager to help out in anyway. I'm so glad other people are handling all the preparations. I love event planning, but it is very nice to just sit back and let others do the work. Hey, what can I say? I'm a tad lazy. (Ok, more than a tad!) I'll post pictures ASAP.

I watched some episodes of Bridezillas this weekend. Jamie and I wonder if any of those couples are actually still married to each other. With the way some of those brides acted, it's a wonder they had any friends left after the ceremony. I definitely was NOT a bridezilla. My only demands for the reception were: must have cake, punch, peanuts, mints, and a veggie tray. Of course there will be more than that, but that was the bare minimum I wanted. Luckily, one of mom's church ladies has offered to make one of my all-time favorite munchies -- little ham and cheese sandwiches. YUM!

Jamie is having a bit of trouble getting used to the weather in NC. About the time he gets used to the hot and humid, the weather turns chilly. We had about an inch of much needed rain yesterday. It rained all day long. A nice slow and steady rain. Sadly, it wasn't enough to put much of a dent in the drought. At least it was a little help though. Flowers always do better with a bit of rain. The tomato is bigger, but it's still the only one. Hopefully more will come soon!
