Jamie went upstairs for a shower before work tonight while I was puttering around in the kitchen prepping for supper. I thought I heard him say something, but I wasn't sure since the AC was on. So I scooted around to the stairs to ask if he did indeed say something. When I got there, he was standing at the top of the stairs looking towards the bathroom and said, "There's a really weird bug in the tub."
So, I cautiously went in the bathroom and peered into the tub. Here's what greeted me:
That's probably just slightly smaller than life sized. This dude was huge! He has 14 sets of legs, two butt antennae, two head antennae, and two graspy feelers near his face. Since it was so big, there was no way I could kill it. Things that big have SOULS. So, we carefully cupped it in a glass and took it outside. Then, we looked it up on google. He is a house centipede. He eats bad bugs like roaches, so I probably should have put him in a closet or somewhere like that instead of taking him outside. Maybe he'll come back in. If he wants to eat the icky bugs, he's more than welcome to be a new roommate!
